Chenille Level & Style

The Chenille Level does not indicate the quality of the product; it depends on your design. Using 50% Chenille replaces half of the blank space with felt, sometimes resulting in a better effect.
Adding embroidery outlines to letters, numbers, or patterns made with Chenille can enhance the overall appearance, but the decision to do so depends on the specific design.
Chenille is not suitable for detailed patterns, so it needs to be combined with other techniques. Sometimes we choose embroidery to create details, and other times we directly use dye sublimation printing on large solid-color Chenille patches.

Backing Style

The magic tape technique in patch production usually refers to the addition of a layer of material with magic tape properties on the bottom of the patch. This allows the patch to easily adhere to various fabric surfaces and can be attached and removed multiple times without damaging the patch or the fabric. This technique is commonly used for stickers that need to be repositioned frequently, providing users with greater convenience and flexibility.

In this context, velcro hook backing and velcro loop backing refer to two complementary types of magic tape backing. Hook backing has small prickles resembling "hooks," while loop backing has velvety "loops." By combining them, a strong connection is achieved, offering enhanced adhesion suitable for scenarios that require a more secure attachment.

Iron on backing is the most popular type of patch backing currently. Adding a layer of hot-melt adhesive on the back of the patch allows for easy attachment to fabric using an iron or heat press. No sewing is required, saving on labor costs. It comes in both low-temperature and high-temperature hot-melt adhesive options.
