Sublimation Style

Dye sublimation is a printing process that allows for the perfect reproduction of gradients, small fonts, and intricate details in various complex patterns.
Sublimation can be combined with other techniques such as embroidery and silicone to add dimension and depth to patches, making them more 3D.
Sublimation can be used to replace or enhance the details that embroidery patches may struggle to replicate.
There are two ways to combine sublimation with embroidery:

Adding embroidery details to a sublimation patch.
Applying dye sublimation printing onto an embroidered patch.

Backing Style

The magic tape technique in patch production usually refers to the addition of a layer of material with magic tape properties on the bottom of the patch. This allows the patch to easily adhere to various fabric surfaces and can be attached and removed multiple times without damaging the patch or the fabric. This technique is commonly used for stickers that need to be repositioned frequently, providing users with greater convenience and flexibility.

In this context, velcro hook backing and velcro loop backing refer to two complementary types of magic tape backing. Hook backing has small prickles resembling "hooks," while loop backing has velvety "loops." By combining them, a strong connection is achieved, offering enhanced adhesion suitable for scenarios that require a more secure attachment.

Iron on backing is the most popular type of patch backing currently. Adding a layer of hot-melt adhesive on the back of the patch allows for easy attachment to fabric using an iron or heat press. No sewing is required, saving on labor costs. It comes in both low-temperature and high-temperature hot-melt adhesive options.

Border Style

Merrowed edge refers to using merrowing, a special stitching technique, to finish the edges of the patch. This method creates a border around the patch with stitching, often in a colored thread, giving the edge a neat and layered appearance.
